The Man Behind the Synchronization
St. Louis native and award-winning filmmaker, Mason Beck began his film career officially whilst getting his Bachelor’s in Film, Television, and Video Production at Webster University in 2017. His inspirations for wanting to become a filmmaker started in High School when he joined his Drama Club and partook as Lighting Tech, Props, and Set Construction before eventually stepping out on stage as an Actor and finally as Director.
Around this time, he dabbled in journalism and found modest success, as proven by one of his earliest pieces being recognized by the Missouri Scholastic Journalism Society and JournalismSTL (attached down below). However, he knew that his passion lied with telling unique and emotional stories that spoke to him as a creative, so leaving theater and journalism behind, he would immediately enter film school to pursue his dream.
Now with seven completed full short films, five of which are festival selectees and winners, Mason yearns for the big time; feature filmmaking in Hollywood with the scale and intellectual prowess of Christopher Nolan, and the soul and emotional range of Steven Spielberg. He hopes his years of work in front of and behind the camera, both now and forever, will continue to challenge and inspire his audiences to see the world in new and exciting ways never imagined before.
